This is what they said about the album then: "It's the best album they have ever made".
As far as I remember, they said the same thing about "Stand Up", and definitely also about "Big Whiskey and the Groogrux King".
So I can understand why they would say that about Big Whiskey, because of the time that has passed and because they have grown as a band.
But back in 2001 with "Crash", "Under the Table and Dreaming" and "Before these crowded streets" in the hands, it must have been overkill to say that Everyday was their best album.
Needless to say, they need to say so, to justify themselves as a musician and as human.
